Your voted ballot must be received by the elections official by 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2009.

If you are registered to vote in Santa Cruz County, you may return your ballot by:

• Mailing it in the return envelope provided. Be aware that postage goes up from 42 cents to 44 cents on May 11. Allow sufficient time for the ballot to be received by 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 19.

• Hand delivering it to any polling place in this county on Election Day between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Below is a list of the polling places for the May 19, 2009 Election.

• Hand delivering it to the Santa Cruz County Clerk/Elections Department at 701 Ocean Street, Room 210, Santa Cruz Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Hand delivering it to the City Clerks’ offices in Capitola, Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, or Watsonville during regular business hours.

• 24-hour return is available by dropping it in the white receptacle in front of the county building or the green box at 215 Union St. beginning April 20, 2009 – no postage required.

• Extended office hours are available at the County Clerk/Elections Department and Watsonville Civic Center located at 275 Main St., 4th Floor, on Saturday and Sunday, May 16 & 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
