CAMPAIGN FINANCE
  PROHIBITIONS 
  
 
Federal and State law provide for the following prohibitions regarding campaign funds:
 
  - Transfers to candidates subject to contribution limits and to committees which make
    contributions to candidates and officeholders. (Govt. Code §85304)
 
  - Cash contributions/expenditures of $100 or more. (Govt. Code §84300)
 
  - Anonymous contributions of $100 or more. (Govt. Code §84304)
 
  - Contributions made in the name of another person. (Govt. Code §84301)
 
  - Commingling contributions with personal funds. (Govt. Code §84307)
 
  - Newsletters sent at public expense. (Govt. Code §89001)
 
  - Personal use of campaign funds. (Govt. Code §85800, et. seq.)
 
  - Contributions from national banks, national corporations, foreign nationals. (Federal
    Election Campaign Act, 2 U.S.C. §441b and e)
 
  - Raffles (Penal Code §319)
