My family has been in Soquel since 1910, and has established deep roots in the community.  My father, Lawrence Bargetto, co-founded the Soquel Creek Water District. Growing up in Soquel along the creek, I have always had a natural interest in water.  As a winegrower and director of winemaking at Bargetto Winery, I have established sustainable practices in our vineyard and at our winery.

Now is the time for our community to work together to establish a sustainable and sensible water plan for future generations.  The aquifers that provide water to the District have been over drafted for thirty years, and now saltwater threatens this vital resource and our community.  Having graduated from the University of California with a science degree, I will bring an analytical approach to solving this problem.  With a graduate degree in business and with my problem-solving business experience for 30 years, I will provide leadership in fiscal responsibility as well.

If we can define the problem and unite, we can solve it.

I am eager to bring my proven leadership to the Soquel Creek Water District, and to develop a thoughtful, collaborative and successful solution to the water challenges which our community faces.
