As a parent of an upcoming Loma student and proud member of our community, I am committed to making our schools exceptional. I am running for school board because I believe in the value of public education and I believe in our kids.

My education and 25 years of experience working with youth in various settings prepares me well to represent you on the board. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Master of Arts in Counselor Education and Student Personnel. I hold a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling and served adolescents as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor and Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist. I served as Chief Operating Officer for a nonprofit serving at-risk youth, where I ensured that our organization fulfilled its mission and stayed under budget. Most recently, I worked in the classroom as a special education teacher.

I will work diligently towards helping our district operate within budget. I will focus on excelling in our core educational mission, striving to meet students’ academic needs at their level, and preparing students to make responsible, safe decisions once in high school. I would be humbled and honored to represent you on the board.
