I consider the quality of education to be of paramount importance. As a parent, I view it as my duty to prepare my children to succeed. As a professional real estate broker, I believe that great schools do more for local property values than almost any other factor. As a citizen, I believe it is my obligation to work for greater opportunities and equity for all of our children.

I am an active community member with two sons who attend Santa Cruz City Schools, a senior at Harbor High and an eighth grader at Branciforte Middle School. I currently serve as Vice President of the Santa Cruz Education Foundation and volunteer my time as a musician each year in the orchestra for the Aptos High spring musicals.

I am a proud product of public education in California. I attended Rio Del Mar and Valencia Elementary schools and Aptos Junior High and graduated from Aptos High. I went on to earn a BA from UC Berkeley, and two Master’s degrees from SFSU.

If elected to the County Board of Education, I will bring collaboration, creativity, and dedication in helping the COE meet the needs of all students and their parents.
