For the past ten years, I’ve had the honor of serving the San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District on its Board of Trustees.  I’m proud of the commitment that our teachers and staff have to our children, and of the leadership our District provides.  I’ve established myself as a thoughtful, dedicated member of this team, and have worked diligently to maximize my effectiveness and to understand and address the diverse interests and concerns of everyone with a stake in our educational system.  I’m particularly proud of my record of promoting constructive dialog among all relevant parties, and I always welcome e-mail to dolson@cruzio.com.

These are unprecedented challenging times for public education.  We must maintain high standards of education for our students amidst a chaotic pandemic and looming budget cuts.  I feel that my long experience in the District will serve me well in being a leader during these next few years.  I am also committed to continuing to support our many special programs including those to promote the social-emotional health and college and career readiness of our students.  In these changing times, supporting our teachers in ways that enable them to consistently perform at their very best is also a top priority.
